Old Photo Friday

Beach Girls
location and date unknown

Of all my vintage photos this has to be one of my favorites. I love the attitude and imagination. Though I don't know the story behind this photo because the backside is blank, and I also can't remember if I picked it up in Grass Valley, CA or Portland OR - two places with dusty antique shops where
I have found good vintage photos.

.....

Speaking of Portland, I'm going up for a few days and wondering if there are new and interesting galleries, cafes, shops I should visit. I am familiar with the city and know the neighborhoods well, but haven't been there for about 2 years. Anything new, or have some tips?

I can see that photograph being a favourite of yours. Wow.

The attitude, the look in their eyes. How very Isadora Duncan (but later in time.)

It IS a professional photo shoot, isn't it? It seems to me far too professional to just be a "friends and family" spur of the moment shot.
However, I'd love to invent or imagine a whole story behind it.

Oh!!! This is a wonderful photo!!!
I would have it framed.
My grand father was an amateur photographer. He even had his own dark room which was very rare at the time, I think.
My mother kept some wonderful shots you made me want to dig in them next time I go to Marseille.
Enjoy your week-end

Portland... Dallas and I are dying to go up there for a visit. We tried so hard to move up there on a whim many years ago but it didn't work out. Our Colorado roots kept us here.

Can't wait to see what you come up with!

Ninja - I don't think it is a professionally taken photograph. I think my enlarging it for the blog gives it that impression. :^)

Elisabelle - Yes - do dig them out!

Otli - thanks for the link :^)

Jane - yes, that's my kind of swimming attire!

Modgirl - oohhh what could it be?

Thanks everyone for your fun comments!!!
