poet's wreath...crepe paper, wire, antique millinery stamen, kitty fur

a birthday gift for my mother-in-law.  a headdress for the poet.
 .....

*laurel leaves are used for poet's wreaths, as in "poet laureate"
but I chose to make mine of oak leaves

It seems you've been carried away with those headdresses - and why not, I gess I've never seen anything so pretty made of crepe paper :). Have a nice week Janis!

Such a lovely wreath. Your mother-in-law is a poet. Now this is something you do not hear every day. I'm sure she'll love her thoughtful gift.

Beautiful wreath! I love the subtle shimmery quality of the oak leaves.

beautiful banner, beautiful images, beautiful wreath. i've always wondered why laurel was used as an emblem of honor - it's an invasive shrub. oak leaves are more appropriate!

Very nice wreath. It's important that all gifts contain a little cat fur.
