Autumn

The dye shed

A quick drop-in to say hello!  Hope this finds everyone doing well and enjoying the beautiful fall weather.  Whew - it's been such a long break but a good one.  Seems like a necessary thing to do every now and again don't you think?  Clears the head, rejuvenates the soul, refreshes the creative juices.

What was my break all about?  Mostly taking time away from the computer and doing regular things, but also putting some thought into how best I want to spend my time.  This is something I like to do every once in a while.  One of the things that tops my list is continuing to learning more about the natural dye process.  Seems the more I learn about natural dyes the more obsessed I become.  I recently took another workshop with Rebecca Burgess, author of Harvesting Color, and I'll be sharing photos of the session soon.  Currently I am in the process of gathering my own materials and equipment so I can dye textiles at home too.

Other posts coming up will be of places and things happening here and mostly centered around art and design.

Good to be back!

Jeej she's back :)!Those breaks are so important to keep on the staying-close-to your-own-heart-track. The natural dyeing (I really hope I spelled that right..) sounds exciting! I'm going to chech the link to the book your mentioning.

Your time away seems to have been very healthy and productive. It must feel good to feel so strong and focused. You have me thinking about my own time. Thanks.

Thanks everyone - so glad to be back here with you! xo

Alessandra - Missed you too! Milo is doing pretty well for an old guy. I think the move and warmth from the sunny windows have helped him a lot (and me too).

Denise - I will always be a work in progress! Just trying to do my best and (hopefully) staying aware.
