I am HOME now

The Coffee Roastery

The cafe has been my second home where I've been catching up on emails and trying to make blog posts. I say trying because I find it hard to concentrate enough to form a sentence after the big move. I am still having trouble, but I really wanted to post something today. So I'll keep it short and elaborate more later. The main thing is I am home. Marin is lovely and kind and so welcoming. I am thankful... The cafe where I am writing this post is playing Blackbird by the Beatles and I could cry (maybe I am a little) ... where's my sunglasses. That song always gets to me.

The living room window where I'm taking a nap in front of when I get home.

.....

Miss visiting all the wonderful blogs out there.
We need to get an internet connection at home
and when we do I'll be able to catch up. Can't wait!

Until next time, and with a clearer head... xo, j

that looks amazing!
so good for you you're feeling home.
i know.
after we moved, almost a year ago now, we came home. it feels so good, and yes, i am still mixed up in a strange way
like the dust is still not fallen down.
but i know i do not want to be anywhere else.
and that is good.
big hug!!

Janis, welcome home! Marin is such a beautiful place and your view is just stunning. I would sit at that table quite often I think, just daydreaming and watching nature.

OH. MY. GOD! it is SO BEAUTIFUL! no wonder you are finding it hard to concentrate. what impossibly distracting beauty - that window alone, and then what you get to see through it! UN-BE-FXXXXXX-LIEVABLE!

i had a view like that once. same sensation. v. unsettling. is that good or bad? and DON'T tell anyone else but i was JUST humming blackbird to myself here in bed with the cats (cue twilight zone theme).

so glad you have landed well Janis!!!!!!!!

may i cry with you?
different situation, house moving perturbation though. friends are more than welcoming, i am staying at one's. and her daughter. it's fun. really.
but i'm missing home.
i'm missing son (who's living full time at dad's now).
what is this? when will it stop?
i know.
only in one months time...
how will i do this? breathing in, and breathing out.
welcome home, janis!

Take the time you need. And I love that coffee and that window with that light...and the beatles...perfect...just more to have a talk than to be staring at the pc.

I love Marin. All of our children were born in San Anselmo. Looks like you could be there, by the views.
