SOLD ... thankful ... relieved

A commemorative photo of the front garden I greened last November by
planting drought tolerant plants and herbs. See what it looked like last year here.

...and this November, one year later, we will be moving away from our
much loved garden and house of 14 years. Sold. finito. And though I've been
grateful for this little place, I can't describe how much I am looking forward
to trying something new in an even greener territory.
It's been a long time coming and I can't wait.

H A L L E L U J A H !

.....

To celebrate home, all things green, and new beginnings...

A GIVE-AWAY

I will be giving away a lavender sachet that I sewed and
embroidered using one of my sketchbook drawings.
This sachet is from my collection of "suitcase" sachets.

Leave a comment or just say hi
I will randomly draw a name from a hat 31 October.

xo,
j.

I love the this house- it looks so inviting! Iam glad you sold it and wishing you wonderful memories in your new home. Where will you be moving to, out of state? This is the second time today I have heard about embroidery. I am thinking of giving this a try. Lord help the friend who tries to teach me! xo

Thank you all for your good wishes and shared excitement about our move! I can't wait to cross the bridge (literally, the Golden Gate) so I can share with you fresh creativity and new terrain.

I really like the tiles on your roof. Were you involved in the design of your house, because it looks very nice.

Janis said...

Thanks Ian - The house is Spanish style that you sometimes see in older neighborhoods in California. The house was built in 1932 - wayyy before I was even a twinkle so no, I cannot take credit for the design :^)

Your front garden work is admirable and lovely. I'm sure you're looking forward to new adventures in your new home. Your little sachet is darling. I have 1 sachet in 1 piece of luggage. We usually carry 3 small pieces when we travel. Luggage pieces 2 & 3 need a little love. I like that you specifically made your sachets "suitcase" sachets--perfect.
