Oh Janis your hand collection is beautiful... I found it fascinating and a bit unsettling at the same time, they remind me of the thousands relics in Churches in Italy!
Somehow I connect you with hands Janis... they seem to feature in your work directly and indirectly. -Thread and needle -ghost hands - the needle waiting to be threaded! -no worries -your hands are in the photos! -sweethearts all have expressive hand gestures! -hey , rispetto - Milo's hands (paws) ! well...I do perhaps take it a bit far...but there is something in your whole ambience Janis that is about value for what the hands can do.... Its very central... you could have a book on this I'm sure. Even the way you draw makes me think about what your hands are doing when you are drawing - you have good hand to eye co-ordination. Ah well...I think there is is much loveliness - realness in what you do! truth and beauty...
oh i like your collection ALOT!!!! always wanted to accumulate the door knockers but was too practical....."to what end?" Beautiful! I'll come back and visit your collection if i may?
What a wonderful collection!! Have never admitted it, but I am the same when it comes to remembering people's hands.. I find them fascinating and very revealing.
Cabrizette - The first two from SF, the third one from Venice Italy, the forth from Paris (off of rue Lepic somewhere) and the last one I don't remember where it came from :^)
Francesca - What town in Provence? I need to know and must go - Seriously!
Anna - I agree!
Matos - yes you may ... :^)
Jane - sooo glad you're back! xoxo
Sophie - What can I say...beautiful observation...thank you xoxo
