Summoning birds and bees

Me and B on a walk, gathering plant ideas

...

I have just taken on a huge project of landscaping our front yard
and my goal is to transform it into a low-water, low-maintanence,
bird and bee friendly space using native and semi-native plantings
and a flowering plum tree or two.
Think mediterranean - cottage style garden.

This is fun, but overwhelming,
and I am crossing my fingers I can pull this off
Wish me luck :)

Would you be doing landscaping at this time of year? Good luck!

Ritva, CT, Modgirl - Thank you, xo.

Francesca - Yes! Fall and spring are good times to plant. Even though it gets cold, temps stay pretty mild in winter with only a few frosty days here and there. We are close to the ocean which keeps temps from not getting too extreme (in the SF bay area). Thanks for wishing me luck!
