Radiant heat

Sunny sidewalk etching
5th Ave, between Clement and Geary, SF

.......

I passed this three times before taking my camera out. I tried looking through the view finder but it was useless since I did not have my glasses on.
I took my chances, pointed down, and clicked.

It was grey, cold and foggy, and I had lost my scarf somewhere along the way.
So with blurred vision and a cold neck I was happy to find the sun shining somewhere.

p.s. typical SF summer weather

very cool! When we lived in SF and the windows were open, the fog would literally flow through the house. It was a weird sight!

I grew up in Milan, and we used to get very thick fog in winter (it's since disappeared, at least in the city, due to heating). Though I have some fun memories of my friends and I trying to find our way home in the fog, I ultimately find it melancholy ... I associate fog with winter and cold weather, it would be very odd to have in summer!

Jennifer - I love the cactus too! makes me wonder if an adult drew this and not a child. ???

Francesca - I find it meloncholy too, it can really make my mood turn ... summer weather upside down.

Love it!! We're pouring some concrete tomorrow. I may have to get the girlies some sticks...

Happy Weekend, Janis!
