Tu scendi dalle stelle

(front)

(inside)

(back)

When I was around four years old I found this card snooping in my
grandmother's cabinet. She let me take it home that day and I've had it
ever since. As a child I was completely enchanted by this card.
There was something so magical about the saturated colors,
the angels, the starry sky, the creamy roses...

Through the years there have been many times when
I thought I'd lost the card forever. It would always show
up eventually, and I'd be so relieved. It still holds magic.

ok, i think i have three questions:

1) is that anything like......:Alice, you're going TO THE MOON!!!!! (?)
2) did you write "Janis" on it? or did someone else?
3) could I like it better, if George "W" Bush wasn't featured prominently on it?

(Answer to No. 3: YES!)

otherwise, I agree, it's v. pretty janis!

Mlle P - #1 humm, interesting concept. #2 Yes I did, and my hand writing still looks the same. #3 I'll have to pretend I didn't read #3 or else I'll never be able look at it again! Augh!!!

your hand written name on this is the best Janis.... its just reminds me of the way a child fully inhabits owning something.... how life and death an object can be.... how filled with meaning!
Love that you keep finding it even if it goes astray for a while!
Best to you this xmas!
