we took a circular path. he went one way, I went the other
bushes and trees framing the moon
aromatic plants replacing summer flowers. spicy. hints of autumn. the wild west.
an early American folksong keeping pace in my head:
"Snake baked a hoecake And sent the frog to watch it. The frog fell a dozin' The lizard came and took it. Bring back my hoecake you long tailed nanny-o"
... back on the path we closed the circle and made a plan for dinner.
Beautiful post. Closing the circle and planning a meal together is a perfect way to end a walk in the wild west. I'm noticing hints of fall too, but I'm ignoring them because they make me sad.
