I have the same mix feelings when I find these little treasures. I remember the last one I found 2 years ago, before I went in the hospital and a month later when I came home it was gone and left me sad all over again. This one is small and sweet. xo
How evocative janis! I had a friend who found a rather large nest once ...it was made form the most extraordinary assortment of finds including barbed wire can you believe. They took it to the Melbourne Museum which was pleased to receive it given its incredible composition. They are powerfully symbolic! best, S
Don't be sad - if you think about all those nests that all the birds are making, it would be strange if one or two wouldn't be found every now and then :). A beautiful picture!
