Friendship

These two photos are from a book I made for myself of found photos of women friends. The book happened organically after noticing a theme of similar photos in my collection. I love the body language, the physical space, the tenderness.

.....

A few likes and dislikes for Otli

- Like: New blossoms, hearing Daniel play mandolin, dried apricots in my
oatmeal, and creative flow.
-Dislike: Leaf blowers, the sound of power tools, and the control freak neighbors who use them.

I'm totally with you, neighbors with powerful tools...They're making lots of noise right now!
The photos are so beautiful, full of contrasts, have a happy weekend, despite the neighbors!;)

What a nice theme for a photo collection. How many photos do you have in your book?
PS Leaf blowers must be one of the dumbest noisy tools ever - they don't really solve the problem of removing leaves at all!

Thank you everyone for your sweet comments...xo

Francesca - around nine photos in the book, and some scattered around. About the leaf blower - one of the worst inventions ever. What's wrong with fallen leaves? I think it has changed life as we know it - there is hardly a space of time where you don't hear one of those monsters buzzing.

I wish in many many years someone will find a picture of me and one of my friend so touching...
Have a sweet and not to rainy week end!

these are so beautiful! and you're right - the body language is stunning.

and i have to share a word on those leaf blovers: what IS that!? i never saw or HEARD or SMELLED one before moving to israel - and there are quite a few leaves in dk too (maybe they started using them too there...?)

anyway, they are so utterly stupid - in terms of what they are supposed to do. and they are so noisy and the smell of gas they leave behind awful. they used to blow around the house where we lived in tel aviv. i'd have to close the windows to keep out noise and smell. and the dust that would obviously fly through the windows. dislike wouldn't be strong enough to describe my feelings. what's wrong with a good old sweeping? or - even better - just leave them leaves right there. (see, you hit a nerve there ;)
