I just realized I've probably given you the wrong impression about camping. I am not a camper, I find it difficult to camp, and that is why I only stayed up in Mendocino for half a session. On the other hand, there is Daniel who loves camping and is staying the full eight days until Friday. We planned it this way because a few days of camping is all I can manage. Though Daniel is such a dear, so thoughtful, and tries to make the experience as comfortable for me as possible but I can't help myself, I still get grumpy sometimes ... having to lug all those little separate bags of personal items - the toothpaste and toothbrush in one bag, the bug spray and allergy medication in another. Then there are the mosquito bites, outdoor bathrooms, the undressing in freezing cold weather. Oh ... and this year I forgot my flip-flops for showering, a nightmare. Sorry, but I never set my bare feet down in public restrooms, ever. So what else? Lots ... but the truth is, even though I whine and complain it is still possible, as difficult as it is, to have a wonderful time and I will keep trying thanks to Daniel and his amazing patience.

Oh, Janis, I'll share a secret: I'm not a camper either! And after having camped all my youth in cold, in wet, in snow etc, I realized I could just say "done it, thanks". So I totally understand your feelings, and I admire you for your willingness to still camp for half a session!
You're so cute! And brave - it's great that you give camping a try time after time :). I just realized that I've never actually been camping, as much as I enjoy being close to the nature. I'd love to do that up north, Lapland. Silence would be important. When it comes to those huge camping areas (with their nasty restrooms!) I'm not so interested.
I agree!
love this drawning!!!
this drawing is fantastic, i love it!
ps (I'm not a good camper but i like to go out with the tent. i hate the camping bathrooms)
:-)
I love the idea of camping but I rather stay at home thinking about how great it would be. (When I have been forced to camp I've slept with my head outside the tent) I love, love your drawing . You've got such a great style/touch
I'm with you sister! Why do I keep on trying though? There must be something to it.
Ha! Love it! Darling drawing! Love the floss and toothpaste especially!
Happy Weekend!
Everyone - I love hearing your points of view on camping - you all are great, thanks!
