Artistc License: The Goyish Bagel

Kind of a no-no to traditionalists, but my homemade (organic, low sugar, vegetarian) apricot jam completed this toasted bagel and made for a delicious breakfast. Coffee included. Oh, and if you look carefully you can see the cream cheese under the jam and strawberries.

It sure looks good. I gess I'll have to wait for about two more months before I'll get to taste strawberries... Two summers ago I wanted to make apple jam (we were spending a summer in a house that had a little garden). There were so little fruit in the tree that I only managed to make one can of jam - but it was worth it! (Besides the jam had such a beautiful pink colour.)

yum! and of course, the jam would definitely be my pick over the cream cheese or nova-but i guess that reveals my goya-status now doesn't it.

I was just thinking this morning I could go for a bagel, but no where as yummy as yours

To everyone - thank you for your fun comments :)

Sohvi - A jar of homemade jam is like a jewel isn't it? I like your apple story and the pink colored fruit too :) ...just the other day I noticed I only had ONE apricot in my tree. Looks like I'll be getting my jamming fruit from the farmer's market this year...

C.T. - Okay, but then a pastry in Verona :) ...and everyone must take a look at your daily breakfast routine, it's lovely.

Cate - After reading your comment about the cream cheese I added more to my post (thanks)...also, my husband used to roll his eyes at the shiska's jammy bagel, then he tried it

??
where has my comment gone??!

I wrote that strawberries are even better on the bread than my apples are and that I'm eating apples for more then 7 months because we don't get other regional fruits in this season in my country. but soon we will get strawberries as well and all the other summer fruits! I'll be happy to have a change on my breakfast bread!!
